I&#039;m an accountant by profession.I do assist the local Authorities to maintain their books and to prepare Financial statements.My main question is,how do local Authirities supposed to account for community assets? e g Road construction &amp; street lighting.Of all the capital Assets,which ones should be capitalized in the financial statements?

		<description>Good points but I would also say that the authority&#039;s consistency is also a big issue. If a transfer requires a few meetings to sort it out, it does not help if the goalposts keep moving between meetings without explanation. There needs to be a commitment to clear consistent communication.</description>
